The Bartron family desired a kitchen transformation that balanced modern sophistication with practical functionality. Their vision called for a moody, high-contrast aesthetic while addressing a significant structural challenge—an existing cantilevered extension into the backyard that required reinforcement without compromising design integrity.

Tradecraft Design, in collaboration with Home Matters Construction, envisioned a kitchen that seamlessly blended bold, contemporary elements with warmth and elegance. The goal was to create a space that felt both dramatic and inviting, with a rich interplay of dark cabinetry, refined finishes, and architectural ingenuity.

The Solution

A Bold Palette: Deep black cabinetry provides a striking foundation, contrasted beautifully by crisp white Orion countertops. Brass accents introduce warmth, elevating the luxurious feel of the space.
Illuminated Elegance: Custom shelves with integrated LED lighting and glass tops function as both practical storage and a design feature, adding layers of depth and ambiance.
Structural Ingenuity: To resolve the challenge of the cantilevered extension, a custom-milled beam was strategically incorporated—preserving the integrity of the space while maintaining a seamless aesthetic.
Artful Details: A moody, sophisticated atmosphere was achieved through a curated paint scheme—darker hues on the trim and a coordinating ceiling color enhance the kitchen’s depth and cohesion. The sleek, straight-stack tile backsplash and a convenient pot filler amplify both form and function.
